February 2007

A lot of people keep asking on what album they can find the track 'Chinese Waters', that randomly is shown on the dutch tv-station RTV Noord-Holland. 'Chinese Waters' is one of the new tracks that has been written for our new album. Since we're still in the process of writing the new material it's hard to say when the new album will be released. As for now we hope to do this before the end of this year.

December 2006

RTV Noord-Holland started to broadcast pieces from the live recording, they did in their tv-studio, since December 12th on both of their channels. One of these channels (north-channel) is also available in Europe via the Astra1 satellite. they will continiue to do this for the next coming 12 months.

Due to this exposure and the enormous response from viewers the album 'Impression' ran out of stock. We're waiting for the new delivery which will be expected in the 2nd half of January.

Also the full photo session of the RTV Noord-Holland recording is now online.

And don't forget to visit our new guestbook!

July 2006

On July 29th the band spended a whole day in the TV-studio's of RTV-NoordHolland. The band staged live in the Amsterdam studio fully equiped, and backed up by a fabulous lightshow by Michael Moorthaemer, and large projection screen in the back of the stage displaying mood films and logo projection. The idea and producer of this project is Arjan van Leeuwen, who is a long time friend of the band and we believe that he did a great job at it!

First a detailed recording was filmed of 4 selected songs, which were played several times, for director Jeroen de Graaf and crew the opportunity to get some cool multi-shots for later editing.

That same night Odyssice performed one and half hour set in front of a small selected group of friends and family, recorded live and non-stop by the RTV-NoordHolland crew for a possible future release.

As encore there was a surprise guest appearance of Rianne Kosterman on bass (Peter's 15 year old daughter), who did a wonderfull performance on Anuradhapura.

Tracks played:
Olympus
Dark* (working title)
Different Questions
A Prophet's Dream
- small break -
Flags Without Heart* (working title)
Anuradhapura
Senkan*
Chinese Waters* (working title)
Battle (working title)
- encore -
Anuradhapura feat. Rianne Kosterman

* these titles were also the 4 selected songs

We would like to thank the RTV-NoordHolland crew for their help, patience, humor, profession, hospitality and surely for the opportunity.

Pictures can be found here.

June 2006

The band is invited to perform in the TV-studio's of RTV-NoordHolland.
Details will follow later.

Right now the band finished working on 4 new songs which is as good as 30-minutes of music. Titels for these 4 songs is still in progress. The idea is to compose 2-3 more songs and than carefully plan the recording-sessions for a new album.

November 2005

Well... this time it took us more than a year... The band took a kind of sabattical and also our provider decided to move servers which, for us, lead to some upload and e-mail problems. But... we're back with a complete re-styled website. Somewhat simplyfied, but not less.

The good news is; Odyssice is still alive! After a two year sabattical, which included the search for a new bass-player, moving to a new rehearsal-room and re-constructing it.

We're happy to announce the arrival of our new bass-player Peter Kosterman, he joined the band at the very end of 2004 and worked his way through the excisting material. Now the band is working on new material for a new release in 2006.

July 2004

Despite the news the last time we updated this website, we now have to accept the fact that Odyssice is still without bass-player. We're still on the search for the right person to fit in. In the mean time the work on new songs is still in progress, there is already a lot on stuff, but the work-out still needs to be done.

 June 2003

Well we're back again! Sorry it took us so long, but circumstances forced us. But we're happily to say that 'Moondrive plus' is finally released and is available in the recordstore or through this website. After finishing up the final details in october last year, our record company Cyclops decided to wait with releasing the album after the seasoning holidays.

Last year was a strange year for us. At the very end of 2001 Jeroen decided, due to problems at home, to leave the band. But after a divorce and some months he got to the conclusion that he made a mistake by leaving the band and rejoined them again. Sadly enough at that piont Pascal had decided that it was his time too to leave the band.

At this piont the band decided to take it slow and have a kind of break from it all, just to review the whole situation and start over again fresh.

Thanks to the situation Jeroen was going through, he was able to write more than 50 minutes of fresh new music, of which surely a great deal will end up on the next album. But before even thinking of a new album Odyssice has one difficult quest to conquer: Finding a new Bass-Player. Even idea's of trying something with vocals was talked about. So if you are a bass-player and/or you sing, you are of semi-profesional quality and you live in The Netherlands, please contact Jeroen. Only serious reactions, please. And maybe we'll invite you for a audition.

 16 May 2002

The computer crash destroyed all of our previous work on the multimedia part of Moondrive plus. We had a little hope of recovering the data, but all was lost. The movies and live tracks have to be edited again all from the beginning.  This is why it takes so long and we hope that you (the Odyssice fans and escpecially Malcom Parker) can be a little more patient. Sorry for the inconvenience, but we will do our best!

 March 2002

We have changed the layout of the website. It is now easier to navigate through this site. New photographs taken at 'Hellendoorn' and 'de Boerderij'  last year, have been added.

A test example from Moon Drive Plus is nearly completed. The project was delayed because of a computer crash and some other technical problems. After testing the test example, the CD-Rom will be produced.

 Februari 2002
